GPS Computers and Technology

In the late 1990s, something remarkable occurred. Identifying visitors to a website became harder. This was mostly because of the growth of search engine spiders in addition to robots; and web proxies as well as IP addresses for big organizations and Internet service providers (ISPs).
To proof visitors, register analyzers started tracking visits by cookies and by overlooking requirements from recognized spiders.
The exploit of web caches as well became a difficulty in log file investigation. For example, if a human being revisits a piece of paper, the second action or request would most probable be retrieved from the browser’s hoard. Therefore, the web server will not get a demand. If this takes place, the person’s trail around a definite website cannot be tracked. Configuring the attendant can beat caching, other than this could guide to degraded presentation and discourage the guest.
Finally, concerns were raised concerning the correctness of log file examination, chiefly when caching was caught up. There was as well a purpose to subcontract web analytics. These developments caused page tagging. More than a decade before, web counters were frequently seen in web pages. Why was this important? Web counters demonstrated the number of times an exacting image was requested. This later evolved into imperceptible images that used _JavaScript, which passed along definite information concerning the page as well as the visitor. A web analytics corporation can process the information, which extracts figures that are helpful to the association. The web analytics service corporation is as well in charge of assigning a cookie to the user. The cookie identifies an exacting visitor from the primary visit to the subsequently. An association that seeks the services of a web analytics service corporation should know good and bad points of the two approaches, so as to decide which one to select.

Rural Bangladesh – Kids, Computers, and Macs 1 of 2
Computers and Technology

This photo was taken in the Chittagong Hill-Tracts in Bangladesh. I had come with two teachers from the American International School in Dhaka. This was one of the laptops (a Macbook) they brought with them.

I love macs. I love technology. I love kids. I love sharing with those who don’t have easy access to technology like computers. Needless to say this is now one of my favorite photos.

I can’t decide which of the two photos I prefer more though.

How to Boost Field Service productivity with Mobile Computers

For Field Service organizations, the productivity rate of mobile workers directly impacts the bottom line as equipment downtime, repeat service calls and lack of inventory availability can reduce revenue and put business productivity at a competitive disadvantage. Organizations have begun to use devices like the Motorola Symbol MC75 mobile computer to provide its workforce with real time access to business information. This allows sales, service and maintenance workers to rapidly reduce downtime and take advantage of every revenue-generating opportunity. With the Motorola MC75 handheld computer, workers can respond to and solve problems quickly, helping prevent costly shutdowns. They can use these handheld mobile computers to streamline order entry to better satisfy customers on-site and achieve rapid fulfillment. And, they can save time and money by eliminating unnecessary paperwork. With the ability to access information quicker, mobile workers can focus on what’s important…their customer.

Top Field Sales and Service Issues
• Lack of real-time control over field personnel and parts
• Parts not at the right place, at the right time
• Wrong personnel assigned to service calls
• Delay in response to customer requirements in the field
• Little or no accuracy on timely data
• Inability to manage business costs on a day-to-day

A common solution for field sales includes Motorola handheld computers, Datamax-O’Neil portable printers, and productivity-enhancing application software, plus wireless wide area networks (WANs). This bundle gives mobile sales teams access to timely pre-sales advice, promotion management and reliable order-delivery data so they can stay on top of customer requirements. By capturing, moving and managing data across the enterprise, field sales personnel gain valuable insight into customers’ needs, while increasing accountability and the potential for more rapidly closed deals. Account managers can accurately quote and print the exact figures needed to close deals at client sites. They can price and sell complex products or access new promotions on the fly with accurate information, helping to solidify trust and encourage repeat business. Armed with in-depth sales information, sales teams can spend more time selling instead of searching for answers.

Some of the key features of the Motorola MC75 handheld mobile computer include an integrated barcode scanner or imager for 1D and 2D barcode scanning, voice and data capability, GPS, camera wireless LAN and Bluetooth.

Computers And Computer Related Technologies

Computers And Computer Related Technologies

Computers and computer related technologie are vital in a thriving and dynamic digital age, both for a business and for the home user. In the work place, computers are a crucial tool to the day to day running of business, be it stock control and order processing software, checking your emails for communication from head office, to comparing your prices with those of a competitor on the Internet. Much more than that though, the reporting functionality for a manager is unfathomable from slow moving stock reports to accurate profit and loss analysis that allows a business to improve on its potential weaknesses as well as maintaining its strengths.

For the home user the possibilities are equally diverse; chatting to friends, downloading films or music, tracking down old school friends or searching for that new job, house or holiday.
With prices falling all the time, the early twenty-first century is shaping up to be the best time to start thinking about buying a new computer, or upgrade an existing model. The home user can easily purchase a new top of the range home computer for under 0, perfect for word processing, connectivity to the internet or playing a new Computers Games with the need to high processing power, memory and graphics.

Generally, computers are regarded as being obsolete six months to a year after they are removed from the box, but again this is an area that is much improved in the digital age. A person can easily upgrade a two year old computer to a highly competitive standard for a minimal cost. But for those where upgrading is yet to become a priority, many computers of over ten years in age are still perfect for word processing and internet use, along with other low end software programs.

These are two old laptop hard drives. They have respectively 4 GB and 6 GB worth of storage capacity, together making up for 10 GB. Nowadays, we have the ability to store a hundred of both (1 TB) in our pockets.
